Exactly. Pretty much we'll just open a thread at some given time on the 15th of the month, 7 people will put in a nomination, some people will put the "I'm with stupid" smiley in and show their support for one truck or the other, the topic will get closed, and then the poll will open. I don't think anyone here will be immature about it.

i know thats an extreem case, but i think as long as someone posts an average of one post per week thats active enough. there are ALOT of things i dont post on, if someons answer is already covered i dont just reiterate what they said. I am sure there are alot of people like me here who just read alot and post when they feel its constructice. would someone who reads all the posts every day and makes 1 good, technical post per week be less active than someone who posts 10 times a day in all the snapshot threads saying "looks good!".
besides that it all looks like its ready to roll

I think 1 or 1.5 posts per day would be acceptable also. And Alon I was thinking the exact same thing about your Arizona trip sort of thing. Perhaps there can be some sort of rain check for extreme circumstances like that? I realize it's a long shot in the dark that anything would happen like that, but if it does, I'm sure the moderators could come up with something fair for everyone involved.

Yeah, the good thing is we can actually have the polls on this forum instead of running it on a separate board.
Pinecone, you are hearby awarded Truck of the Month for March of 1983. Enjoy!
Alon, on the vacation thing, I don't think that will really be a problem. If someone says you're out of town until a certain date, then you'll probably get a little leeway. Worse case you can get re-nominated the next month, and that won't be the end of the world.
About when it starts? I'm assuming there will be an announcment after the guys in charge finalize the details. Thanks to everyone for their input.

Well I guess, I mean you two both still have TRUCKS technically, so it could be Truck of the Month still... And you're both prominent members on the site, and TOTM is about the members behind the trucks as much as it is about the trucks... What does everyone else think about that?
Mnemonic brang up a good point about always being nominated next month also. A little leeway would also be an easy thing to give in an extreme case like that.
Anyways, let's make a decision about people who've had Rangers in the past (and still have trucks, we can't have the truck of the month be a mustang!) and then I will punch up a "Final Draft" for the rules.
