update on the check engine light

I didnt say it picked up a different code.. I said one print out offered more information than the other. Thats the only reason I suggested having it read elsewhere. This is the reason I hate newer vehicles, there are soooo many things that can go wrong and you dont have a clue what it is until you plug a damn computer in.

Glad you got 'er fixed! Must have been some nasty weather to ice up your MAF. I'm from the UP and I've never even heard of that happening.

ya i agree dranger024. newer vehicles do take a pain to find probems. but some are easy to find also with obd2. and ya it was some nasty snow, got up to 11 inches and i was out for 6 hours pulling people out of ditches and doin some roadside assistance. was a nasty time. bout 0 out. and couldn't see a damn thing.

Gotcha, that makes sense, I misunderstood what you said.

^^i gotta agree sometimes you gotta go another place to read codes cuz some of these guys at the part stores have NO idea what they are doing. kinda hard to mess up reading codes, but some of these guys dont even finish high school. thats why i usually try to let them let me do it myself.
