Upkeep on 2006 FX4

Just a little background. I am currently serving my 2nd tour of duty in the ROK and purchasing my father truck. 2006 Ranger FX4 5 speed V6 which is pictured below. He has owned it since it was new and has been babied its whole life when it comes to the service record and detail. It is not sitting in a garage back home in PA waiting for me to return to the states. He drives it every now and then to keep it running, so it isn't just sitting there not being looked after. It has around 54k miles on it.

My question or rather to seek more advice is...what are some items I should be looking at purchasing prior to my return to the states? I am not looking at modifying it all, raising it up or lowering it, as this will be my 2nd vehicle and mainly used for daily work use and inclimate weather depending on where I will be stationed. The front FORD emblem, the left and right interior door handles, and the shift **** have already been identified for me to replace with OE parts to bring back up to new condition. What else should I be looking at for its age and mileage?

since its approaching 60k miles, id do the plugs and wires. a fuel filter wouldn't hurt either. all easy to replace too

I would also look into a set of shocks and a tire rotation. Other then that just drive her.
