door ajar?

Well i was driving my ranger around today, got out then got back in and it said my door was ajar, i got out closed both doors and it was still saying its ajar? Its really humid and pretty hot out today could it be saying that just because the door thing is just hot? .. thanks

Ya mine did this for awhile too but corrected itself. Sometimes it just gets confused.

Instead of WD-40 try white lithium grease. It even comes in a spray can now. I tried some off-brand WD-40 type "all purpose spray lube" first...it fixed the problem for a few days then it came back. I sprayed some white lithium spray lube on there a couple weeks ago and it seems to have fixed it permanently. Here's the stuff I bought...it was pretty cheap at AutoZone:

i was out of WD-40 so i used some "all purpose" silicone spray, it fixed the door ajar-ed?
another trick i have found (for you ranger owners who live in snowy climates) you can spray silicone spray around the door seals (weatherstripping) so it wont freeze to its self and not open...
