Icon5 Water coming from under the dash???

Ive noticed in the past "hard" rains there will be a small pool of water in my passenger floor board of my 05 edge... looking under the dash I did see a few drops hanging from some of the wiring in there, where the hell is this coming from? what can I do to prevent this from occuring?

In my Bronco II when this happened I ended up replacing the thermostat. I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but maybe worth a look.

Mine does it too, I am pretty sure it's coming from the bottom corner of the passengers side windshield. I need to buy some of this

I wouldn't put silicone on your windshield if I were you, unless you really like rust in the pinch weld and on other metal parts that are surrounding the wet area.

so if it is coming from the windshield corner what would you use to fix it? I'm kind of dissapointed with how unsealed this truck is, I've already had to fix the third brake light from leaking...

Try something that is Urethane based it won't rust like silicone does and if you ever have to get the truck painted it wont crackle the paint.

isnt that a heater core failure? someone back me up on this because when i was searching for my truck they said to check the carpet under the dash for water damage because that means a bad heater core

Oh yeah, heater core. Why did I say thermostat? I am dumb. I replaced my heater core when this happened in my bronco II. I'll back you on this one.

Hey bub.
this happened to me too! This past summer i took out my wheel wells and the carpet and the seat and the heat coil and the dash and gotta new windshield.........none of the above helped me! ...............the grade thing on the hod where the windshield wipers are was backed up with leaves and just guke...........so i took a pressure washer and preshure washed it out for like 2 hours and it finally cleared up! while ur doing this water will flood the cab untill the drain holes clear so pull ur carpet back !!!!!!!!!!!! happy trails!

If it was the heater core you would smell it.

well thanks for the ideas, I'll look into it.. is it a pain to get to the vent tube, or whatever you said it was? and I'll check the grate on the hood to see if there's a build up of junk. where and what exactly did you apply the 3m solution to?
