When I took the instrument cluster out, I found this little (3-4" long) part, looks like a weather vane, has a 'paddle' on one end, a clip that looks like it'd sit in and turn, like a weather vane.
It was not attached to anything; just stiiting in the void where the cluster is.

Is it a part to the truck, if so what/where does it belong?

 

Kids toy? Maybe fell through the defrost vent in the dash??

 

thanks. That was my thought; or a vent air freshner.

Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a vent director/changer device.
