Exact opposite, the STX was the higher quality package in 93-94. Couple buddy's of mine have a 93 STX and a 94 XLT, the STX is the primo package of the 2.

If you have a factory towing package you have a 4.10 L/S rear end.

the STX "high rider" package back in the 80's lifted the truck (higher than the regular 4x4's) and gave it a roll bar and brush guard

also, higher is not always better...stock height is the best for gas mileage
