blower motor

I have a 2000 ranger, and the heater blower motor will work on setting 2 and 3 but will not on 1, can someone instruct me on what part I might need to fix the problem and how to take the housing off, if I would have to do that.

The connector to the blower resistor is most likely corroded. The resistor is located below and to the right of the blower motor and has four wires going to it. It is held in with two screws.
