'06 Ranger FX4 keyless entry
Hello all, I just bought an'06 ford ranger FX4 which should have keyless entry, but didn't come with a fob. I bought a new fob, went to program it, and no matter what I tried, the door locks never cycled like they're supposed to.
So I went to taking things apart and found that the previous owner added an aftermarket keyless entry / remote start system in the truck. I took the time to meticulously remove the entire system as I have no need or interest in a remote start system, I just see them as a headache waiting to happen. After following every wire and making sure to remove every aspect of the system, I tried again, still no luck.
Is there something I am missing? Is there something that may have been removed for the keyless entry that I need to put back in to make it work again? any help would be appreciated, I've tried to look up some things about the smart junction box, but all the fuses and relays seem to be in place. At this point I'm lost
SOLVED! After about an hour of letting the truck sit, I tried it again and it worked
