When I turn the key, the 4x4 does not light up on the dash, when it’s running the 4x4 does not light up on dash, what are the chances that it’s a faulty transfer case control module, I can buy a new one for 282.00 but I cannot return it if that is not the problem

For 2001 to 2006 Rangers the 4x4CM was a common failure

If you have checked the 4 fuses then its most likely the problem
Fuses 5, 10 and 11 in cab fuse box
Fuse 13 in engine fuse box
