2002 2wd ford ranger 3.0 v6
I just bought my ranger, for some reason every time the door was opened the dome light would come on and stay on. It would go out if you either let it sit for about 20-30 minutes, or about 10 yards after I started driving... so because of this I simply took out the dome light bulbs, but right after I did that my speedometer quit working, along with my windshield wipers. What’s going on? Another issue I’ve been having is when I’m going down the road and I use my turn signal, sometimes you will hear like a screeching/scraping noise.

Welcome to the forum
You have some unrelated issues
Was it only the Drivers door that caused the dome light to stay on?
If so then the switch inside the door is sticking, very very common issue on all Ford trucks and most cars, just a bad placement of the switch
There is a battery saver relay that cuts power to the dome light(and other lights) after 20-30minutes, after key OFF
And when driving the vibration can "unstick" the door switch
Door switch is inside the door under the latch mechanism

The black unit at the bottom is the door switch and it has a 2 wire connector, unplugged in the picture
If you unplug this connection on your door then switch will be disabled and you can put dome light bulbs back in, and use them manually
To replace this switch the latch has to be unscrewed because the switch is a "twist lock" style, and you can't twist it far enough to remove it and install a new one with latch against the door panel
You can spray some WD40 into the latch and it will leak down to the switch location and it can get it to work again, "unstick" it
The problem with the switch location is dirt and moisture also runs down into the switch and causes the issue in the first place, lol.
In 2002 the speedometer signal comes from the PCM(computer)
Check fuse #26(10amp) in the cab fuse box, that powers speedometer AND dome lights, maybe it got shorted and blew, pull it out and swap it or test it, "looks GOOD" is for the ladies NOT fuses
Turn signals..................you got me, lol
Very odd issue
Turn on the 4-way flasher and see if it makes the same noise, turn signals and the 4-ways use the same flasher module
And just to be clear, if you are not moving and a turn signal is on you hear a "screeching/scraping noise"?
