'93 Ranger Code 121 TPS out of range - high voltage

I have a variety of codes (four standard, and two with the engine running) on my newly bought Ranger but I've been trying to tackle one at a time. I used https://easyautodiagnostics.com/ford...imeter-tests-2 article in order to test the voltages and found that the closed throttle voltage was 1.4V (recommend range is 0.2 - 0.9V) and the open throttle voltage was 4.7V (recommend 3.5 - 4.5V). Both are high but it still climbs consistently and isn't effected by the sensor being hit. It's also grounded properly so I'm not sure where to go from here. The throttle body seems kind of dirty and I noticed there is a screw on the bottom of the throttle plate which as far as I'm aware isn't factory. Not sure if that would effect the sensor voltage though. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated

Yes, throttle close should be under 1volt, its a 5 volts sensor, should never be 0v or 5v
0.69-0.99v is spec, not 0.2 for sure
WOT(wide open throttle) is 4.5-4.6v

TPS is attached to the throttle plate rod at one end, other end of rod is the throttle linkage to gas pedal
On the throttle linkage there is an adjustment screw, looks like an idle screw but its called an anti-diesel screw since fuel injected engines can not use an idles screw, no Jets
You can use this anti-diesel screw to adjust TPS voltage, if.....................IAC valve is working
Warm engine, idling
Turn screw counter clockwise, idle should go down but then come back up it IAC Valve and computer are doing their job, computer along with IAC Valve set idle, not a screw
If idle drops and doesn't come back up then previous owner was using this screw to set idle and IAC Valve may be bad, usually not computer

If idle does come back up then you can shut off the engine or leave it idling, up to you
But you will need to hook up TPS to test voltage
Turn screw again, counter clockwise, and get TPS volts just under 1volt,
Then test WOT, should be 4.5-4.6v now

There are 2 screws holding throttle plate to rod, but no other screws inside throttle body

Thanks a ton Ron. Your expanse of knowledge on Rangers is truly incredible. I will definitely look into that tomorrow. Just fixed up my air intake hose and I'm hoping to get it idling and running a lot better soon.
