My valence has the indentations for fog lights. The truck is prewired also. But to me it appears there’s a “pigtail” from lights to the plug already mounted to the frame. Looking at OEM lights, I don’t see such pigtail. Just the plug on back side lights. Am I correct in my thinking? Have a pert number or suggestion for finding the pigtail to purchase? Can find dash switch and radio bezel with cutout for switch.
Wrecking yard would be best bet for the harness at the front and for the fog light switch in the cab, there are also 2 relays in the engine bay fuse box for the fog light option
If that's not an option then you would have to make your own, as far as I know there was never a Fog Light "kit" available from Ford, it was a factory option
The factory wiring harness usually had the wiring on all but the base models, but not the relays, switch or plug ins, not sure if the relays in the engine fuse box had contacts in place, you would have to look/check that
The one relay used Parking lights or low beams "on" to enable fog light switch, 2nd relay disabled fog lights if High beams were used
Hi I bought this baby with no valence and it’s my first ranger. Are these valence boLt mounts?
Maybe suggestions? Decision time. For light non-rock off-roading a skid plate can save a lot of trouble. I can do the cheaper valence and use the connector for modem light bars and maybe a bull bar. I’m no designer... so cool ideas are welcome. Will I throw the valence away with some upgrade?
