Clutch pedal to floor ...can't use clutch ....

Hi All, Funny one here on a 2012 TKE manual Ranger 2.2 diesel. Vehicle stood for a couple of months...drive for an hour...pushed clutch pedal no resistance went to floor and stayed there. Lifted back up still the same. So drive home with no clutch and changed master cylinder as it defo had a bit sticky near top of travel. All was good a few short 5 mile journeys then did a 1 hour drive and all of a sudden gradually pedal lost feel with each change until it was on floor again. Lift if up still to resistance...drove home again no clutch.

So....no fluid leaks, clutch works perfectly but you can't disengage it so plate etc is strong. You drive by matching revs etc.

After pushing to floor by hand and messing...its all comeback to full feel...so working fine. Interestingly the fluid level went up slightly when feel returned...so clearly the fluid was in there but must have been nothing in master cylinder. Level is reservoir is above max and always was.
Its a concentric clutch bearing inside the bell housing for you can't see the slave cylinder but seems to operate perfectly until this fault.

I'm gonna try bleeding it again..any advice bleed by pushing pedal or bleed from lowest point with a syringe so you are pushing with the flow of bubbles...

any thoughts gratefully received.. Ta

Disappearing clutch

Guys found this. https://www.exploroz.com/forum/13835...pearing-clutch

This guy seems to have had a leak on the clutch damper little thing in a T connector on bulkhead above engine where clutch pipe goes from right to left in engine bay..anyway...dont think that my issue as not losing any fluid..

BUT what it also says is that if you let clutch up took quick you may loose the pedal as fluid cant get in quick enough from reservoir or pipe to reservoir might have gunk..also wondering if I have over filled reservoir...there is no air gap to expand/ contract as obviously the fluid cant expand contract as its a fluid....any way gonna make sure my reservoir is bob on MAX. I think back in teh day some reservoir caps used to have breather holes so the pressure could flex a bit...

Just a heads up

We don't have your type of Ranger here in the US and Canada, our Rangers were smaller and no Diesels, made from 1983 to 2011

You have a T6 Ranger, larger than ours, and a different truck entirely, we call it an International Ranger, we were never allowed to import them here

There are Ranger forums, in english, in Australia and South Africa, you may want to try posting in one of those as they have the same Ranger as you
