cold start problem

so my 1991 2.9 manual tranny ranger has a hard time starting in cold weather here in CO. Ill start it and it'll die 3-4 times before I can get it to stay idling and running. i pulled some codes and found the IAC is failing (this also might explain my occasional rough idle), i have a new IAC on order. do you guys think it could be anything else?

More than likely replacing the IAC will fix your problem since you found related codes. However, without knowing exactly which codes you found it's a little difficult to say for sure.
