Cruise & more not working
Cruise & more not working
I got an 02 3.0 FF last March and after about 2 months the socket stopped working so I couldn’t charge my phone anymore. In addition to that, the cig lighter doesn’t, OBD2 port, and the cruise control all don’t work (I got new cruise buttons thinking that would fix it, but it didn’t). I checked the fuses & relays & there wasn’t anything blown that related to that (there was a fuse that I replaced that fixed an abs light on the dash). What should I check to see what’s wrong? I do have a 99 ranger I could use for extra parts since it’s my work truck.
OBD2 port and cig lighter/AUX port all share one fuse, should be fuse 17 in cab fuse box, 20amp, swap it out with another 20amp fuse or test with OHM meter
For all 3 to be without power it would have to be fuse or fuse box issue, pull out the fuse and test for 12volts at one of the fuse terminals, it should have 12v full time, not a key on circuit
Cruise uses 3 fuses, 9, 10, and 11 all 7.5amp
Cruise is disable by any brake faults like low fluid level

Yes, "SPEED CONT"

Should come on with key on for the "bulb test", all indicator or warning lights in cluster should come on for this test
