Dash Lights Not Working

Hello Ranger Forum,

2004 Mazda B3000 DS 3.0L

I was testing radio wires to look for what ones to tap into and have lightening to added analog gauges.

Then not sure what happened, but the dimmer stopped working and no dash lights.

I downloaded the wiring diagram:
01. Turned the headlight switch on.
02. Headlights and license plate lights work.
03. Dome light on when Dimmer switch full on.
04. Power at fuse 31, 20amp.
05. No power to => fuse 1, 5amp.
06. No power at Dimmer Switch pin 2 RED/YEL.

Thinking problem is with the "Park Lamp Relay".

I cannot find that relay, I did not see it in the Smart Junction Fuse Box:

Does anyone know where it is located?

Thanks ahead of time.

You are kind of hooped if it is the Park Light Relay

Go here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...horn_mod.shtml

Go down to the picture just above Step 8, these are the relays, the little black boxes, Horn Relay is outlined

Anyway do the Parking lights work?
If so it not the relay
If Parking lights are also off line..........................

Fuses 1 and 2 are both powered by this relay, fuse 2 is for trailer lights

Thanks Ron for the reply.

Front and back parking lights do work:

I will double-check fuse #1 again.

Then its not the Park relay, for sure, which is GOOD!

And test fuse 2, it gets 12v on same circuit in SJB

Replacing 5amp fuse #1 fixed it. Next time I will pull the fuse and look at it instead of just testing with a volt meter.

10amp fuse #2 had 12 volts.

Thanks again Ron.
