Dashboard PRNDL Cable Problem
Hey everyone, I'm the proud new owner of a 2010 Mazda B4000 which came with a disconnected gear indicator cable (PRNDL wire/whatever). I spent way too long fussing with the million screws holding the access panel on underneath the steering wheel to see if I could just reconnect the cable, the previous owner said it just slipped off, but when I looked, it was actually broken, the loop had snapped open and the wire retracted into the housing.
Well my brilliant self thought to super glue some copper wire to the end and make a new loop - which didn't work, and also got super glue down the plastic tube housing holding the PRNDL cable. Now it doesn't even slide through the channel anymore, and I've gone and made things a whole lot worse.
I'm thinking now the best solution is to simply replace the whole cable and housing from scratch, but I'm not sure where to even start trying to source that. Has anyone had to replace this cable before? Any ideas on where to get one of these?
Thanks everyone
