ddm tuning HID kit woes
i ordered this kit figuring it would be just 1 wiring harness ( NOT )
i google searched a better solution for my issue and found these
HID 9007 9004 HID Wire Harness Plug Ballast Connector | eBay
they plug right in to the factory headlight connectors , then straight into the HID ballasts
all i have to do is cut / splice / solder / heat shrink tube in the HI beam function connector from the crappy wiring harness
my headlight connector voltage is stable at 14.38 volts , which is what is required for the ballasts to function reliably
just a heads up is anyone else was looking to ride themselves of 2 different crappy wiring harnesses

found another identical kit on amazon
iJDMTOY 9004/9007 Wire Harness for HID ballast to stock socket for HID Conversion Kit : Amazon.com : Automotive
but since i have a spare putco heavy duty headlight wiring harness , i am just going to cut it and splice the proper ballast and hi beam connectors onto it
hi / lo HID headlight function in 1 wiring harness

I had a set of DDM Tuning HIDs (35W, 9007 High / Low, 5000K is what is listed on the invoice). Bought it back in 2010, it sat for about a year until I finally got off my *** and installed it.
Didn't think the kit was that hard to install. Everything worked with the plugs I already had. I don't know... maybe DDM has changed in the years since I bought from them. Who knows.

On my car, 3 years and counting!
I hope your thread doesn't jinx me haha
i finally found a quality hi / lo harness , and broke down and ordered it
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/pr...ducts_id=14032
high beams work without issue
i will order a spare harness at a later date

well i had 1 ddm ballast crap out on me
so i went to a performance place and bought 2 lumens hid 35 watt ballasts
i replaced the defective 1 , it buzzes on start-up ( that sound is of a quality ballast )
the light ouput from the lumens ballast kicks the crap out of the ddm ballast
anyone have any experience with the OPT 7 35 watt BOLT ballasts

I think the first problem is going with a hi/lo HID plug-in kit. I've never seen in a kit on the internet or in person in the 8 years or so I've been HID'd that actually provides a usable high beam.
Be happy with just low beam until you make the jump to a LEGIT setup using projectors.
