Explorer OHC help

Made the mistake of installing the console first before checking if it even turned on... I know.. stupid mistake.. But anyone have any idea why it wont turn on? I've tried hooking it to different power supplies.

Have you checked all your connections for shorts and checked fuses?

There isn't a fuse on the console, but if you followed the instructions when you installed it, I don't know why it wouldn't come on, other than it's just a dead console.

Do the lights work?

I didn't bench test mine either, I knew it worked before I got it.

I know there is power for the computer, then power for the lights, so idk

You might, where did you get it from? Some junkyards have a strict return/exchange policy

I'd give them a call, tell them you'd like to get one of a different color or something

Im thinking about doing the same OHC install. Where you get the headliner, Thats awesome. Are there already wires under the headliner in my Ranger?

yeah i was going to suggest that and also to make sure your taps from the OHC wires are actually making contact. My OHC wouldnt power up at first and I realized my t-taps hadn't broken all the way through the dash wire insulation, even though the taps were shut and were the correct size. Gay.

Yea. Cant believe it was somethin so easy when I was seconds away from throwin it away and callin it a pos. Lol. But the install on this was actually really really easy! Only thing i found somewhat difficult was cutting the slit holes for the tabs on the OHC -.-
