Front end roar

Its a 2002 edge 4x4 and it has brand new ball joints, tie rods and tires but the front end sounds like its roaring going down the road. I think the hubs might still be locked since my t case motor shattered a magnetic this weekend and had to manually knock it out of 4wd. Ihave a motor on the way but has anyone else ran into this? It roars at just about any speed and is annoying. It still drives great.

what about a wheel bearing and your truck doesnt have front hubs...your front axle is a live axle set up

Didn't know I had a live set up. This is my first 4wd so I got some learning to do. Will check clutch on fan. How do you go about checking wheel bearings in these.

Wirelessly posted

Get wheels in air and see if they wiggle

i would guess wheel bearings i replaced 5 in my truck already. It can get to the point that it sounds like your running a set of bogger tires up front.

Yea it sounds like I have badly worn mud tires up front. Will check bearings and get back.

Changed out the front hub today and ended up having to change the cv axle too. But all back together now and put 70 miles on it with no problems.
