fuse blows

I have a 03 FX4. The #2 circuit keeps blowing at times? Don't see any code blinks or any particular item which is running at the time. Shuts off air bags and a/c. Takes a 10 amp fuse.

Help DBP

Disconnect the AC Compressor connector and try it.

I don't have 03 data, so I'm little help.

Here's a quick test.... http://www.autoacforum.com/messagevi...threadid=14950 to see if your AC Clutch coil is drawing too many amps.

Fuse #2 (dash panel)
  • HVAC selector switch
  • PAD switch
  • Restraints Control Module
  • DRL
  • TCS
  • reverse lamps

Of course, it could be an overcurrent problem on any branch but I would check the last two in the list first.

TCS (O/D cancel) has two wires that run inside the shifter stalk. The wires can break or the insulation can chafe causing a short to ground.

Reverse Lights: wire goes to the Digital Trans Range Sensor (auto) or reverse switch (manual), then back to the taillight assemblies. Most of the wiring is along the exposed chassis making it vulnerable to cuts, road salt, water.
