2010 Ranger

It only puts out hot air and I cannot get it to get it to put out cooler air.

BTW, it's 5 degrees outside so it's not and a/c thing.

Blend Door or it's electric actuator is broken

Blend door covers the heater core and prevents air from the fan from passing thru it, the Heat Control setting controls the blend door, it opens the door for more and more heat, at HOT(max temp) setting all air passes thru the heater core, yours is stuck open.

Blend door is a not uncommon failing on Ford trucks

If you turn on MAX AC, that will close a vacuum valve in the engine bay on one of the heater hoses which will stop hot coolant from flowing thru the core and it should cool down

I tried that but it didn't work.
It will eventually go to cool after several hours but when I move the control from cool to hot it changes immediately.
