Hello been a while since I posted ! Hello everyone. My 99 2.5 man Trans wondering if anybody would know what this could be all my lights are fine until I hit my brights on dash goes dark and no headlights until I pull the turn sig to turn of then everthing is ok again minus HBeams lows are fine any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

 

What about "flash to pass", when you pull back on the multi-function switch stalk?
Does that work?
It has a different power source, always powered up, it uses high beam wires but not thru Main Light switch
Try it with dash lights on, but with Park lights on only not headlights, pull back on stalk and see if both high beams come on and dash lights stay on
If dash lights also go off with "flash to pass" then you probably have a short on one of the high beam wires

High and low beams share same power source from Main Light switch being ON, so if low beams work then Main light switch should be OK
But dash lights do get power from main light switch being ON as well, so Main Light switch is common to all

Best guess would be a problem in the multi-function switch because it is the most used of all the mechanical type switches in a vehicle, i.e. turn, 4-ways, headlights and wipers

Could be Main Light switch, but not used as much

 

I went to parts yard and grabbed a multi,the dimmer,and light switch same thing I'll go check flash to pass now get back in a min.

 

I noticed my neighbor was home and borrowed his manual for the diag.so I have to go back out so give me about 30m if possible? Thanks

To me that would mean multi-function switch issue
