Ignition coil pack questions

It's a tricky question but generally it would be no, a higher output voltage coil wouldn't change torque output(power) or MPG if OEM coil was working as it should
If you are having misfires that are spark related then a new coil(coil pack) would really help, OEM or higher voltage
If you raise compression then "hotter" coil would be needed, but the power gain would be from the compression increase
No reason not to try a "hotter" coil pack, anecdotally people feel an increase in power anytime they "upgrade" a part on their engine, that's just human nature, whether there was an actual increase is not the point
