On my 2001 ranger 2.5l xlt I have brand new Factory bulbs and it my low beams work perfect. But when I go to switch on my high beams? It turns my headlights off completely until I turn off the high beams again and then they work perfectly fine. How do I fix it? It's driving me insane. Never had it to where they shut off completely when you turn on the high beams.

Low and High beams are selected by using the Multi-function switch(turn signal stalk)
When you select High beams Low beams lose power, and when you select Low beams High beams lose power, so its one or the other, no overlapping

It reads like a problem with the contacts in the Multi-function switch, replace it
