Idiot lights-Size and Quantity?
Idiot lights-Size and Quantity?
I have a few Idiot lights that are out in my truck-99 ranger.
Just wondering what fit/size they are. And how many there are.
I was thinking about goin led, just because of the amount of vibration my trucks go through on a daily basis (if its paved road, its still rough as a washboard), since im already doing some PNP LEDs for the cluster.
The sylvania guide has lost my trust a few times, im not ordering $50 in stuff i cant return cuz i was too lazy to pull it apart again, however, id like to pull the cluster one time.
I like to do business with Super Bright LEDs ? LED Lights, Bulbs, and Accessories, if anyones ordered these lights from them before, id like to know which you used.
Any ideas?

Not sure on a '99. I just did my '03 but I can't say if things have changed or not. I'd do what I did: Make a pot of coffee, get settled in and do advanced searches on all of the Ranger forums out there (Here, FRF, RPS, TRS), and also Bing/Google the topic. Read and gather as much information as you can and move forward from there.
I've had good luck with Superbright LED's. I'm running them in my Ranger and Neon with good results. For backlighting in your speedometer cluster, use the WLEDx5 wide angle led's. They work very well. In my truck, the warning lights are smaller like the HVAC 161 bulbs. I didn't examine them in any detail since they are all functional, but I noticed the bulb holders are smaller (just like the HVAC bulb holders) than the 194 bulbs I replaced for backlighting. For the 194 bulbs, mine takes 6.

As for superbrightleds, i love their stuff, i had about $200 worth of stuff in my chevy, never had any problems.
