Instrument panel swap

I have a '93 Ranger XLT, 4.0, A/T, 4×2, w/o tach. Will a cluster from a '90 Ranger XLT 4×4 w tach work? If not what with tach will work?

Wasn't it in '95 that the Gauge Cluster changed ?

So from that I would say no the '03 Gauge Cluster will not fit the '93 Ranger.

In '88 there was an STX Hi-Rider, I had one, and it had a Speed-O and a Tach, that might work, again not sure.

I am using a '97 Speed-O only Cluster and replacing the '03 Speed-O/Tach Cluster setup.
There are Indicator light changes but the rest is suppose to work.

No, I am pretty sure the 1990 cluster wouldn't plug and play in a 1993 or fit well
1993 was a new generation of Rangers so there were several changes

You would most likely need a 1993 or 1994 cluster, as 1995 also changed to electric speedometer and connectors also changed

Try https://www.car-part.com/

Good place to search for local used parts
