How much fuel is in the tank when the light comes on I have a 05 FX4?

A quick search would yeild the answer to this question.

It verys by vehicle and by day it seems. People report anywhere from 1-6 gallons when the low fuel light comes on, so there is only one way for you to find out...

 

ya i just dont trust it. mine comes on early.. most of the time.lol

 

If i fill up right when my light comes on, I probably have about 3-4 Gallons of gas left.

 

They vary a bit truck to truck but it's easy to determine how much is left.

Just fill it up when the light first comes on. Subtract the gallons pumped from 19.5 (the nominal tank capacity of a Supercab like yours). The difference is the approximate number of gallons that were remaining when the light came on.

Mine takes about 16 gallons to refill, so my light comes on with about 3.5 gallons left.

 

mine hasn't ever come on, and i've had it about as low as it can go, must b something wrong w/ mine.

 

On the way back from the store mine low fuel light came on so we stoped an filled the truck it took about 17 gallons so 2 gallons give or take left.
