ok i got my 84 ranger (2.8 V6) running just enough...had to get a "new" carburetor but the only cheap one i could get was from a 85 f250 or 350. it will run till i shut it off then i gotta wait like 2-4 hours till it will want to start again it turns but doesn't seem to spark once its warm . then a friend was driving behind me & said my exhaust was looking black so im guessing its running rich? And the guy i got it from left the mechanical fuel pump (that leaks) on & installed an electric fuel pump (which one should i keep). Im wanting to keep this truck for a long time but I dont have much $ so i dont wanna have to take it to a mechanic
