Nope I'll check that as well. Right now I really think its the connector for the left outlet is touching metal, its just back there flopping around, I hope thats it at least. I'll report back when I go check it out again.

Probably the same on an 04 but I can't confirm that. Usually they are on two circuits.

2004~2008
Lighter socket and DLC are on fuse 29 (SJB).
12V power point socket on fuse 34 (SJB).

1998~2003
Lighter socket and DLC are on fuse 17 (dash panel).
12V power point socket on fuse 22 (dash panel).

1995~1997
DLC is alone on dedicated fuse 5 (dash panel).

DLC = Data Link Connector (OBDII plug)
Lighter socket is on left side of radio. PP socket is on right.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1998+ dead DLC power wire:
Most common real problem is an internal short in the lighter socket.
Most common operator error is neglecting to disconnect the battery and grounding the lighter hot wire while doing other work in the radio cavity.
If you've got power, it will work. Good luck.
