OHC install on 2006 Ranger

OHC install on 2006 Ranger

I have to install an OHC in my girlfriends '06. anyone have a wiring diagram for it? all the diagrams i can find are for GEM equipped trucks

ok here. its pretty much all the same except that kick panel wire and the dome light

other then running the speed sensor wire to the grey and black from the fuse box, its positive negative.

Actually, there is no gray/black at the Smart Junction Box in 2005/2006. That was 2004 only. The 05~06 GY/BK can be found in the large bundle of wires near the parking brake pedal.

bob, laying the hammer down!

Morgan, so wouldn't that be 05-06, since the gray wire isn't near the brake on 04, but in the SJB?

or does 04 have it near the brake as well?

mine was near the brake.. not at the GEM by the radio. mines an 04.

For 04, the gray/black can be found at both places - at the SJB harness and in the wire bundle near the p-brake pedal. For 05/06, Ford deleted the branch of the GY/BK that had gone across to the SJB in 2004.

There are also other locations in the truck to find the gray/black but those mentioned above are convenient places in the interior to tap for use by the overhead console.

according to the link i clicked to get there, its the pinout of the smart junction box. or its equivalent in the 06 ranger.
