Running a 78-79 Bronco tank
Running a 78-79 Bronco tank
Anyone seen someone use a 78-79 Bronco Tank? BroncoGraveyard.com has a 25.5 gallon tank that is plastic, 12" deep.
I was thinking I could use it and fiberglass the stock pump on top and close off the other pump hole. I think it will even fit between the frame.

Discuss? Might just be better to buy a cell but I want to have a bigger tank, cells over 20Gallon are down right $$$

Buy a fuel cell... the fuel pump assembly is spring loaded and is designed to be a "press fit" against the bottom of the tank. You need something about 10" deep and I am working on an adapter for the factory fuel pump assembly, so that all you have to do is have it tig welded onto a cell and bolt your pump assy right to it. If that doesnt make sense, ill try to better explain later, im tired, didnt get but 4 hours of sleep last night... bare with me.

I don't think the Bronco tank will fit between the frame rails......I have replaced tanks on my brothers '78 Bronco and that sucker is wide, heavy, and bulky.......
