sirius radio wiring
sirius radio wiring
waaazzzz zaaaaaap
..... Ok, that out of my system, I just installed my sirius radio about a week ago..sorry no pics yet, no camera. What I did at first is I cut the cigarette adapter plug and I wired it into the Y/BLK wire on the back of the radio so that I would turn on and off with the key, but that didnt work, I checked my connection and still nothing, so i just used the "hot all the time" from cigarette lighter but its getting to a point where i forget to turn off my starmate replay all the time and i have it mounted on my visor . Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or where else can I find a wire thats hot with the key?
OK heres the radio....

Thanks

go under neath your dash and look where your ignition is. There should be a really thick loom of wires in that loom theres a gray/yellow wire. Thats your accessory wire. Thats the best way to hard wire something. Put it on that.
Ok I'll check 2morrow, anotehr question. Might sound stupid..but does it matter which wire I use off the adapter? When i first wired it, I chose the wire that was soldered to the center piece on the cigarette adapter plug as my power and the other as ground. Is this right?
