Had to replace the 4.0L engine and transmission that came on my 2000 Ranger 4x4 with a 2002 3.0L engine and 2002 transmission. The speedometer does not work now. The speed needle goes up to 25mph and rocks up and down. Also the odometer is not accurate....it is way off.
No warning lights are on and the engine runs great and the transmission shifts correctly. No one seems to know what I should do to correct the problem. The instrument cluster for the 2002 doner vehicle is available....would it fix the problem if I replaced the 2000 cluster with that one?

HELP!!!
