I just bought an electric fan out of a 1995 Taurus and I got the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) with it. I was wondering if anyone here has wired it up to work with a Ranger or if it could possibly help me wire it up so I wouldn't have to buy a controller. Also I would like to see how people have wired their efans up. Thanks.

 

CCRM looks like more of a wiring nightmare than a benefit.

CCRM has no relays inside, it is just the controller so you still need the relays to turn fan on and off.

You can do it much easier and better(IMO) using other relays and either a Rad temp sensor or Rad hose sensor

If you are a 4-wheeler you can add a cut-off switch in the cab to disable e-fan when doing higher water crossings, keeps upper engine bay dry.

If you have A/C you can add an activation relay for e-fan when compressor is turned on.
Temp sensor would activate e-fan regardless but the A/C relay gets ahead of the temp increase when using A/C.
