The ultimate Ranger PCB LED Exterior Lighting project
Painted the lenses the other day, removed the masking tape today, really happy with how they came out - the pictures are taken inside, they look very yellowish, obviously it's not like that in real life. Really happy with the masking line quality and paint finish/shine.

bulbs? i think not- this is an LED thread. 210 LEDs spread over 8 hand made circuit-boards going in there. Look at the previous posts.
yes these are 100% built by hand by me, and yes - there is a side facing pcb board in each tail light so that I have sidemarker lights (legal requirement)
I plan on using those predrilled PC boards, maybe double or triple them up for more strength so they don't break from vibration and rough road travels.
Then pack a crap ton of your regular LED's onto the board, as many as you can fit into the space, and putting a resistor on the main power supply wire. I'm thinking of wiring them all in parallel. Do it right, and you should be able to pack 300+ LED's in a taillight.
jp7, is my idea even feasible?
I'm thinking of a simpler LED light build for mine. Not sure how it'll work.

It's hard to go with a bodymatched look with anything other than the clear lenses. The internal lenses are red on mine, they did have them available clear. I wanted the red lenses because I thought it would look really tacky clear - not to mention the reflectors, legally should be red.
