Turn signal and hazard problems

Turn signal and hazard problems
I have a 1999 ranger with the 4.0 motor, a couple of months ago the left turn signal quit working and the hazard quite working. The right side is fine except the hazard.
I put a new turn signal switch in and it didn’t fix anything, just added a new problem, the windshield wiper only had fast speed and wouldn’t cut off.
I put the old one back in and it will work till you hit a bump then stop working again.
anyone got any ideas on what the problem might be. Fuses seem to be good but im also not sure which fuse controls the turn signals and hazards
thanks for any help

Replace the flasher unit, it does both turn and 4-ways
There are no wiring or fuse connections between wipers and turn/4-way so that would be a different issue
BUT...........the multi-function switch controls BOTH
So I would start checking the connections at that switch
And don't assume a "new" switch works, it can be bad out of the box, WE are the Quality Control Department for all companies now, nothing is tested before it is shipped out, they provide a warranty, so WE TEST IT for them and return it if it doesn't work
So put the old on back in and see if wiper issue is gone if so then return the "new" switch for a replacement
Flasher can be in Relay Box #1, above gas pedal, pictures here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...located-77443/
Or it might be on its own between steering column and drivers door under the dash
Turn ON the working turn signal and listen to where the "clicking" is coming from, locate the flasher and change it

Is there a specific brand that’s better than others?
I put the only switch back in and the wipers work fine. I returned the “New” switch but haven’t had time to get another one and see. It’s been a few weeks since I messed with it. (Started having starter problems and haven’t had time to fix) But from what I can remember the relay on the bottom was working for the right side. I’ll purchase another switch and see if that fixes it
