I noticed the other day when I put my blend door on cold it stays on full heat comming out of the vents. Cold air only comes out when I have it on a/c on. What should I look for?

 

Bad connections/broken wires leading to/at the blend door actuator, or bad control that operates the blend door, or a broken blend door.

 

I have no resistance from hot to cold. I guess this is a common problem and Dorman has a kit to fix all Fords with this problem. All the lines are connected.

 

Did some research home the door isnt broken and its just the actuator.

Right, looks like you found your own problem.
its real common for the actuator to break.

however, i would NOT recommend following that instruction. cutting a hole could cause seriours problems. It sucks, but you need to take the dash board out. to do it right.

 

You don't have to take the dash apart to change the actuator. Its tight but you can do it with just glove box removed. I have done 2 this way.

 

taking the dash off is the correct way. not the easiest to take off but in the long run it's easier to see what your doing and make sure you get it done correctly

 

Pulled the actuator off and the drive motor was siezed. I flipped down the glove box and got to the three screws that way.
