I agree. It's coming back out sometime soon to get recovered again. I did this one about this time last year and have decided I'm ditching the yellow, and those seats. I plan to make the top of the console open to allow storage in the back section of it.

Troy, what's the material you used on top of the wood on the new console? How easy is it to work with?

are you talking before it's covered, or the yellow material? the yellow is suede, and i used what we call black and tan board (used for package trays in street rods) to cover the skeleton frame before foam and material. It's thin enough to flex and form around curves, but firm enough not to sag.

I've got approx 7 yards of that yellow suede I want to get rid of. Gonna switch it all out to charcoal suede with the charcoal vinyl. Yellow doesn't work too well on a daily.

well i finaly got mine dawnin out on some mdf ready to be cut out i am going to put a 6in speeker in it and mounts for my cell and gps and ipod
