i got a 98 xlt im sure someone else has this issue of the bar within the seat to be a uncomfortable aspect of any longer ride any fixes? i was thing a small slice in fabric and a pool noodle around the bar and a seat cover but maybe someone has a better idea or way they solved this issue

 

I have the same in my 99. I am currently using an but pad to cushion but still uncomfortable long distances compared to a rod in the back. But not too bad. 12x12x2 foam pad in black cloth.

 

I had my '02-'03 Buckets apart and I am not remembering a bar.

How far up the back of the seat is the bar ?

What about taking off the Seat Covers, pad the bar with something, I think the Pool Noodle would be too stiff, some sort of foam with a little more give, put the Cover back on.
The foam should conform to your body and should give some extra support for a while.
