Before I take it all out, on my 95, on the speedometer, between about 55 to 75 is a bit dim compared to the other area.
Is there a bulb in that particular area that may need to be replaced, and if so, what size?

 

Is it listed in the manual?

 

Depends on the cluster, i.e. with or without Tachometer, but there is a bulb at the top center of cluster

Select any that look like yours, they will have pictures of the back of the cluster
There are always 6 back lights, usually they have Black sockets or Grey
The indicator bulbs are usually tan sockets and smaller

You change ALL 6 not just 1 or 2
And you can get LEDs now but they have a polarity so only work when inserted one-way

The back light bulbs are #194

The indicator bulbs are #74, all the warning/indicator bulbs should come on with key on, thats a BULB TEST, and most go off after 2 seconds, so make a note if any are no longer coming on, and replace those or all the bulbs if you want

I assume it is the bigger bulb, as they list two sizes?

The difference between the two is the wattage (3.8 v 4.6 watts). The latter will be a bit brighter. Given one has burned out, the others will likely follow suit, so replace them all and be done with it for the next several years.

LEDs may not physically fit. Been there, done that.

Lamp designation numbers mean they are manufactured to size specifications. Incandescent lamps with the same number will have the same dimensions. In the case of a 194, the diameter will be 10mm and the height 26.8mm.

Just like AA batteries... doesn't matter who makes it, they will be the same size as everyone else's AA battery.
