water fell out behind dash

So my area has gotten a LOT of rain lately. This morning i went to pull forward and water came pouring out of the dash area. it is fresh water from smelling it. i looked behind the dash and its coming from up high. i have not made any mods in that area such as holes and whatnot.
its a 01 ranger 3.0 auto.

Hmmm I was going to say check by the pedals there is a black plug that covers up a little hole into your engine compartment. But if your saying its coming from up high im not sure. Has this happened before? Does it look like its coming out of the vents?

i do see what looks like a vent, dont know if that is where the recirculated air comes from or not. its on the passager side to add to it.

Ya im not to sure. There has to be something exposed to the elements unless the rain came down at a very intense and awkward angle lol. Somebody with more knowledge then me should chime in soon.
