Never seen this before. Will it work in our trucks?

I have no idea, sorry. Haven't seen those yet. Electrically, if it has the same functions as the original -- no problem. If it's "enhanced" with MPG data, and whatever than probably not.

I question it's fit to our roofs; though it's hard to say from those pictures.

Yeah that's what I think thinking. It looks to have a slight curve which very well might match ours. On the other hand it looks longer so would the bracket even work? Hmm.....

Here's a link from another member to his site on Cardomain on how to install the OHC out of an Explorer. It's really well written. Here's the link: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=296394&page=3

That other member is John Griggs. The first guy that replied :)

I have that OHC installed, but the OHC I linked to is a different style I've never seen before. Completely unlike the standard Explorer OHC.

no what we are used to seeing as in the link of johns is an older explorer console. that one is newer and is probably alot bigger since the ex's have been redesigned...i say do it!!!! then whene you make it work...you are the first and you can write a how to on it! besides i bet john is up to the challenge if you can get him to take a gander at it once you get it.

I'll have to do some research on it. I can probably find it at the JY if I go on a regular basis but that's another quater tank of gas and toll money when I go so I don't go often and really I'm happy with the regular OHC. I'd love to get the EATC installed...

If it were worth a trip to PA this summer, you know where you could find someone to help you with that...

I'll be up there for the fall meet....

If I made a trip up there for that we'd have to go hardcore all out. EATC, Explorer steering wheel with the CD player it controls etc... I mean EVERY electronic mod possible on my truck (no power windows) would have to be done...that's a big trip..

So when should I ask off for? :)

lol! Well, if you get all the parts, I'd be glad to help you before the fall if that's to your liking. If you want to wait for the fall meet, come up a bit early, and stay at my place for a day or two before the meet; then we could do that and get it all done when you're coming up this way ANYWAY.

But truly, Bryan, it's up to you. I'm sure we can make it happen either way -- but a special trip seems a bit much, even for all those mods, lol.

I don't know, man. John has a reputation as an IP. Check out what I found when I looked up Kennett Square on TerraServer:

Wow, I've really spruced up the place...I had no idea!

That was pretty good, Bob -- ESPECIALLY the faux link text, lol.

We did have a pedophile picked up in Kennett recently, by the way -- and NO it was not me!!!

Talk about a thread drifting "off topic"...
