I'll try my best to be there..
Another thought.. i know most places out there you can drive out on the beach. but does anyone know of a spot where the sand is packed pretty well for the 2wds? i know it sounds dumb but i've been out to topsail before and had no problems and gotten my *** stuck at the wilmington meet at carolina beach

I don't know about my truck on the beach... maybe I will let someone else try it first to see how they do with my truck, but I went out to the N part of OBX - by VA border - and had one HELL of a time. For some reason, my baby just could not handle it. hi or lo didn't make a difference, it just seemed like she was revving really high and working WAY to hard to move. I was pissed..little boys in their factory cherokees were going fine, but for some reason i was not. I have 31x1050s and 4.10...so i don't think that's the problem....
then again I have little experience driving in the sand...any insight or sharp criticisms are welcome haha

ppl air down their tires i have never done that have have been fine. also when you hear your engine revving you are boggin down in the sand and the more you push the gas the worse your going to get stuck thats when you let off the gas and coast till you get back on top of the sand.

yeah ask anyone that went out to the beach at the wilmington meet haha, i got stuck within 5 feet of trying to go out there.. but topsail i used to go when i was on 31s and had no problems at all. the north end i guess past all the residential.
Thats the only place you can go out right? Was that with a open diff or your locker?
I've had my truck out there before and while I was able to drive around out there in 2wd I wouldn't say it's a good idea. Everyone says let off the gas but don't stop! You stop and your stuck. Tires are the big thing with a good tire you'll be fine but with a most a/t's I'd say you'll be stuck before you're done.
you cant
North carolina wont let u drive on orgean inlet anymore .................only hatteras which is really soft sand........and corolla but the localls get pissed off if u do anything!!!!!!!!!!!
