I just found one on craigslist from a 99 4x4 for 400 with 85000 miles. Is there a difference between 2wd and 4wd trannys? I know in some trucks there is

Nope. Still hasn't replied. I'm taking it to a family friend this week to see if we can just get it fixed for cheaper

I wanna put in a 5 speed manual, but it seems like it'd be too much trouble...
My dad won't let me swap it myself because my uncle told him it was too hard...

 

geez...it sucks but its not THAT hard. if you want to do it then ill give you a hand. plenty of people on sao would give you a hand also..

good luck finding a transmission. when i blew mine up i never could find one for my truck. ended up doing an engine swap. you couldnt find anything at pnp? they have all those explorers that they got from cash for clunkers. im surprised you didnt find one..
