i don't understand why tensions are so high w/ u andrew can vouch for my car, he knows what the capabilities were before i did some more work, and saw first hand what this "cute" car can do...

all of us being car enthusiasts should appreciate what we accomplish... sure i'm on a totally different platform: front engine, fwd, 4cy turbo, but when i outperform cars valued at 30k+ i can understand why ppl get upset

am i saying im the fastest in the world? no
am i saying i'm faster than 95% of the cars on the road? yes
i STILL fail to comprehend you when you say you have a "fully built" motor, w/ spray... that could entail ANYTHING! living in a military town, there's a TON of ppl here w/ sporty cars w/ a lot of work done to them, so i'm pretty familiar w/ all different platforms... a lot of G.I.'s (such as myself) dump 1/2 their paycheck into their cars, creating a HUGE street scene out here... there is an 08 cs/gt that claims to have similar work done as you, and it's a rape-fest... i do know he's on the bottle, has some nice sticky shoes, header back catless exhaust, tuned, etc.

when i was stock i ran into a couple of them... a red one w/ 3" exhaust and a cobb i/c... from 40 to 60 we were even, but top end of 2nd to top end of 3rd i pulled a good car and a half on it

 

works for me.. i got some new toys to show you on the range. as well as a few funny stories. bring down that sissy .45 of yours and we'll go shooting on the farm.

while not defending the "balt" in any way, nor defending anyone else, i have seen what his cobalt will do, and yes.. i made fun of it at first just like everyone else here is doing. i've driven, and been on ride-alongs in some very fast and very expensive cars. lambo's, vettes, viper's, stangs, lotus, maserati and ferarri. i've been impressed with all of them. BUT, i've never been in a cheap compact (cobalt ss) that put me back in the seat like his does. its a fast car, as it should be.. i've seen and heard the paycheck go out the window, along with his wife *****ing about that car.

Now gentlemen, as to why my bro joined R-f? i havent a clue, i'm glad he did. and i'm sure he'll make some great contributions to the forum in some way shape or form. I'm not sure why it has to turn into a pissing contest as to which car is faster, i mean seriously guys... if we wanna solve it, lets find a dreag strip in the middle and we'll all go have some fun.

The turbo ones are even faster and he is talking about some crazy innovative mods to his car.

I love driving that thing... trust me... I hate Chevy... but that SS supercharged is pretty nice... he's on cobaltss.net or whatever it is... mods are the system, a bunch of LEDs, headlights, flip up screen in the head unit.. think that's about it?? It's a 2006.
