My name is Madison! I’m 20 and I live in Canada (I think you know where this is going… cough cough rusty frame cough cough)
I have a 2009 5-speed 4x4 Ford Ranger which I love just as much as a child loves candy.
I always wanted to own a truck ever since I was little but my first car was a Mazda 3. I always told myself that I would buy a truck after I finished college but that came a little sooner than expected when a Ram 1500 kissed my Mazda 3 on the lips a little too hard. If you were to ask me, it wasn’t consensual. After the accident, I put my money towards my new (to me) truck.
I never thought I would own a standard truck because the last time I drove manual, I cried over simple things like stalling. Come to think of it, the first time I drove manual, all I did was push in the clutch! Couldn’t even shift gears… had a friend do that for me.
My Ranger has been a blessing to me as it helped me overcome my fear of driving standard and now I do it on the daily! To think I cried about doing what is so natural to me now seems pathetic haha.
In the future, I would love to have a ‘90 Ranger or something older. I love the square body style of older trucks.
Anyways! Sorry for the long post. I’ll attach a photo of my Ranger in case people would like to look at her. I know that I like looking at other peoples trucks so I figure I would contribute.
Thanks to all who take the time to read my thread. I would love to make some friends here. :)
I know y’all see the ‘68 f250 in the background Cow print headliner!
