Hello Ranger-Forums Electrical question

New to the site so I may be posting in the wrong place. I have a 2000 Ranger XLT with a 2.5l 4 cylinder. I currently have no turn signals, hazard flashers, or brake lights. Internet research suggested several fixes so here is what I have tried. I changed the hazard flasher relay with another I got from a salvage yard, I also replaced the turn signal switch on the column, also from a salvage yard. None of the fuses in the interior fuse panel are blown, and as far as I can tell, all of the relays in the power distribution box under the hood are okay. I seem to have no power on the flasher relay, nor the top plug of the turn signal switch. My question is should there be power on the top plug of the turn signal switch? does no power on the top plug indicate that I got a bad switch from the salvage yard? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
