am doing a 5.0 swap on a 1994 ranger splash 4.0. have a couple questions, first hot to go from the existing fuel lines to external regulator for a carburetor setup. second what are the best headers to use, third running a AOD trans anyone know how long of drive shaft is needed? have most of the other things already worked out,
Welcome to the forum
Best to use a By-pass type pressure regulator since your 1994 fuel system has a Return line thats large enough.
The regulator can go in the engine bay so 1994 fuel filter is used, then regulator is connected to IN from filter/pump, and return line is connected to the By-pass port
OUT is connected to Carb
Return line is on the current Fuel Pressure regulator, behind and below Alternator on the 4.0l
Good read here on exhausts that fit, also other V8 swap info: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...versions.shtml
Not alot of choices for exhausts that FIT
Make sure you are using an AOD, not an AODE which needs a computer, generally 1991 and older will be AOD, 1992/3 can be either so heads up
Drive shaft length would be custom and done after engine and trans are bolted in, in their final position, and of course depends on your frame length, regular cab or extended cab
